Police launched an investigation after a 27-year-old man died at the festival.
CBS Los Angeles reports that The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department has launched an overdose investigation following the death of Eli Gillespie-Rodriguez at the 2022 Nocturnal Wonderland music festival.
Eli Gillespie-Rodriguez was found dead at his campsite in the Glen Helen Regional Park where he was camping for the music festival. It was said that he entered a tent with friends to smoke marijuana. He then died and was left alone with people in the tent. Police responded to the incident and transported Eli to a nearby hospital. At the hospital, Eli Gillespie-Rodriguez was pronounced dead.
Sources state that the marijuana was laced with an unknown substance. An Autopsy is still pending, according to ABC7. There are no further details from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department at this time.
