Horseshoe Bend is located in Page, Arizona.
Horseshoe Bend is shaped like a horseshoe. It is incised into the Colorado River. The hike from the parking lot to the overlook is a little over half a mile.
It is a breathtaking 1000 ft drop into the canyon. It all leads to a stellar view of the Colorado River.
Things to keep in mind when visiting:
-Be sure to bring plenty of water on the hike! It can get very hot in the summer season!
-Wear good hiking or sports shoes!
-Wear sun screen because there is very little
shade. It is important to protect your skin.
-Pets are welcomed, but must be kept in a short leash. Preferably less than 6 ft of length.
-Keep the park clean. Pick up after your pet and yourself!
-Don’t leave your pet in the car!
-There is a one-time use fee of $10 (Subject to change). There is no re-entry. There are no refunds.
-Be mindful of the weather.
-Open from sunrise to sunset all 365 days!
